The Ras Al Khaimah Knanaya association was first formed in the year 1999. It is the one among the seven associations in United Arab Emirates.Ras Al Khaimah Knanaya association was started among the Knanaya Catholics in the Ras Al Khaimah region as a family get together and later on has established as an association and elected its first President Mr. Joy Joseph Punnamattathil.Ras Al Khaimah Knanaya association had continued its development under the leaderships of Mr. Sabu Kuriakose Pallipurathumalyil, Mr. Joby Joseph Kavuthara, Dr. Jose James Pannivelil, Mr. Jose John Kalappurakkal, Mr. M.K John Ottakkatil, Mr. Thomas Joseph Mundackal, Mr. Jomy Mathews Sauriammakil, Mr. Bino Stephen Pazhukkatharayil, Prof. T.C Chacko Chooravelil and presently Mr. Sandeep Mathew Orapankal.

RAK unit got an elected committee once every two years with President, Secretary, Treasurer and Co ordinator. They will be the members of KCC UAE Co ordination committee also for the elected period.With our monthly meetings, it was helpful to strengthen the bond between each and everyone in the community and unite as one family. This association has helped the new generation to follow the culture, Knanaya songs and custom since followed from AD 345.
